7 Years Honoring our Local Heroes at Eveline Township Cemetery
5051 Ridge Road, East Jordan, MI
You have made this event possible. We hope to see you all on December 17, 12:00 noon.
All are invited to attend and help us honor our local veterans again.
Wreaths Across America will ship our wreaths in plenty of time for the event. Their theme this year is “Find a Way to Serve”. We found a way.
Eight ceremonial wreaths will be placed on the outside of the fence representing each of the branches of service. They will remain throughout the winter for passers-by to see and reflect.
Thank you to all have sponsored wreaths and all who come to lay them.
11:55 – Welcome, Introductions, wreath placement instructions and thanks
Prayer – Chaplain
12:00 – Moment of Silence Around the World to remember the fallen, prisoners of war, missing in action and those who have served or are currently serving.
12:01 – Pledge of Allegiance
Words from Chief Shawano Chapter, NSDAR Regent about Wreaths Across America, immediately followed by the placement of wreaths
Please take only one wreath so everyone has a chance to lay one.
Remember to take a moment with the veteran you have chosen to honor. Say your veteran’s name as you offer thanks for their service.
Before you leave, please gather so we can get a photo of all you together.
Last thing – Help yourself to cookies and comradery.
Thank you to all for coming and honoring and remembering all our veterans.
